David L. Fitzgerald
LPL Registered Representative, LPL Registered Principal

Dave is the Co-Founder and Principal of Wharton Advisory Group and has worked in the financial service field since 1989. He began his career in wealth management after graduating Drexel University with dual degrees in Finance and Marketing. In 1992, he co-founded an independent financial services firm that ultimately evolved into Wharton Advisory Group. As principal of the firm, Dave and the Wharton team are committed to helping clients succeed in pursuing their goals across a broad range of financial planning and wealth management needs. With over 20 years of experience working with Business Owners, Executives and High Net Worth Families, he brings particular expertise in Investment Management, Portfolio Design, Business Succession Planning, Estate Planning, Retirement Income and Insurance Design.

Dave possesses a deep understanding of the financial markets and has brought this expertise to his clients cross multiple economic cycles. This has helped establish him as a sought-after advisor in the Philadelphia area where he was recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal in 2008 as 1 of 10 “Top Registered Investment Advisor” in the Philadelphia area, based on assets managed, revenue, etc. In addition, he has consistently been among the top financial advisors in the country by his broker-dealer, LPL Financial, based on revenue.

Dave enjoys spending time with his wife Patti-Lynn and their three children as well as golfing and volunteering with his local Cub Scout troop.


Mark Comyns
LPL Registered Representative

Mark is a co-founder of Wharton Advisory Group and has been serving clients in the financial services field for over two decades.

Originally from New York, Mark attended Friends Preparatory Academy and completed his high school education at Northfield Preparatory School in Massachusetts. Mark went on to earn a degree in Business & Economics from Lehigh University and began his financial services career at Kistler Tiffany in Philadelphia. It was there that Mark engaged in both corporate and personal consulting and developed a strong background in evaluating a variety of financial products.

Mark’s passion for helping clients overcome financial challenges drove his ambition to start an independent wealth management firm. Since 1992, he has applied his knowledge and experience to serving clients with a focus on individual wealth management, corporate qualified and non-qualified retirement plan consulting, and business and estate planning.

Mark volunteers as a member of the board for the Hope Spring Equestrian charity located in Malvern, PA. The foundation is dedicated to helping adults and children with disabilities overcome boundaries through riding and maintaining horses. Mark and his wife Barbara live in Berwyn, PA with their three children.


Jeffrey Factor, CPA®
Financial Advisor

Jeff is the Managing Partner of Borislow, Factor & Kaufmann, LLC, a full-service CPA firm, and a strategic partner of Wharton Advisory Group since 1999. Jeff brings more than 20 years experience in investment planning, accounting, business consulting and tax planning. He specializes in helping business owners integrate their personal and business interests through comprehensive planning in the areas of estate planning, strategic wealth management and portfolio allocation through Wharton Advisory Group.

Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA®) and member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of CPAs (AICPA and PICPA). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Hartford in 1980, and holds his FINRA Series 7 with LPL Financial and Series 66 with both LPL Financial and Wharton Advisory Group.

Jeff and his wife, Brenda, live in Fort Washington, PA. They have two grown children who both live in the Philadelphia area. He enjoys golf, travel and spending time with his family.

W. Ross Young
LPL Registered Representative

Ross works with high net worth individuals, businesses and organizations, focusing on portfolio management, asset allocation, investment analysis and estate planning. His dedication to client service was highlighted in 2012 and 2013 when Ross was named one of the area’s “Five Star Wealth Managers*” by Philadelphia Magazine.

Ross is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College, PA where he earned his degree in Business Administration. He began his financial services career at Morgan Stanley, and spent ten years with Charles Schwab before joining Wharton Advisory Group in 2010. While at Charles Schwab, he was awarded the Chairman’s Club Honor; recognition reserved for the firm’s top financial advisors.

His dedication to helping clients pursue their financial goals is clearly illustrated through his emphasis on continuing education. In conjunction with conducting daily research, Ross attends Lebanon Valley College, where he is working on his M.B.A. He looks forward to obtaining the degree in the spring of 2013.   He holds his FINRA Series 7 as well as his 9 and 10 registrations with LPL Financial. He also holds his Series 66 with LPL Financial and Wharton Advisory Group.

Ross and his wife Meghan live in Lebanon, PA with their two children. In his spare time, Ross serves on the Advisory Board for his local Salvation Army. He is a sports enthusiast, and continues to enjoy playing basketball and golf.

Steve Montgomery
Investment Advisor Representative

Steve Montgomery is an investment advisor representative at Wharton Advisory Group and has been helping clients pursue  financial well-being for over 10 years. After graduating from Messiah College, Steve began his career with Concannon Wealth Management in Bethlehem, PA. During his time there he excelled to a partner position largely based on the level of dedication and commitment exhibited to clients.

LPL Financial has recognized Steve with the “Outstanding Client Service” award for five consecutive years. He is driven by a strong philosophical belief that clients should be provided objective, independent advice on the path to pursuing their goals. At Wharton Advisory Group, Steve brings the same level of passion to serving clients in the Lehigh Valley and across 13 states while continuing to build on his hometown relationships in the Philadelphia area.

Steve enjoys spending time with his wife Jill and daughter Eva at their home in Coopersburg, PA. Dedicated to serving his community, he is an active member of his church and serves as a Board Member for the VIA of the Lehigh Valley, an organization that aids in life training for adults with disabilities. Steve enjoys playing soccer, softball, running and tending to his gardens.


Frank Grabuski
LPL Registered Representative

Frank joined Wharton Advisory Group in 2011, where he focuses on developing strategies to help manage clients’ assets, pursue their retirement goals and successfully transfer wealth to their loved ones. In addition to guiding his clients in establishing and managing their short-, intermediate- and long-term financial and investment needs, Frank heads Wharton Advisory Group’s business outreach program, building relationships with local CPA’s and accounting firms. Several times throughout the year Wharton hosts educational programs offering continuing professional education credits to CPAs.

He holds his FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 registrations with LPL Financial and Series 65 registrations through Wharton Advisory Group and his state Variable Life and Health insurance licenses.

Frank began his financial services career in 2005 where he focused on audit and tax consulting at Deloitte. After working with large corporate clients at Deloitte, Frank then went on to work for The Hartford Financial Services Group as a Regional Vice President in the New York and Connecticut area. During his time at The Hartford, Frank was responsible for updating financial advisors on industry trends, communicating portfolio management decisions and providing economic commentary to two of the industry’s most established institutional money managers, Wellington Management Company, LLP and Hartford Investment Management Company.

Frank grew up in Wayne, PA and attended Radnor High School where he earned 11 varsity letters between football, basketball and baseball. He went on to attend the University of Delaware, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in both Finance and Accounting and is an active member of the Financial Management Association Honors Society.

He enjoys a wide variety of sports, especially playing golf and fishing. He’s been a member of the Chester Valley Sportsmen’s Association since 2003 where he helps raise and stock trout throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and helps organize fishing tournaments for children, the mentally challenged and physically handicapped.


Jeffrey T. Maierhofer
LPL Registered Representative

Jeff brings over 26 years financial services industry experience to Wharton Advisory Group clients seeking prudent, long-term investment strategies aligned with their goals and risk tolerance. For the past 20 years he has focused on both the equities and fixed income markets in developing asset allocations and managing investment portfolios. He holds his FINRA Series 7  registration with LPL Financial and 65 securities registrations with Wharton Advisory Group.

Jeff earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University (PennState).

He lives in Wayne, PA with his four dogs and enjoys soccer connecting, playing and coaching. Jeff was inducted into The Philadelphia Soccer Hall Of Fame in 2008.


Andrew Factor
LPL Registered Representative

Andrew began his career in finance working for a fortune 500 company in center city Philadelphia. In 2012 Andrew joined Wharton Advisory Group. As a financial consultant, he focuses on investment and insurance planning, conducting equity research and developing portfolio allocations aligned with specific client needs, timeframes and goals.

While Andrew works with a broad range of clients, he specializes in assisting young doctors as they transition from medical school to residency to full-time practice. Andrew has been published in Medical Economics magazine, and in November 2012, he was recognized in the “Best Financial Advisors for Doctors” issue*.

Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The University of Hartford in Hartford, CT and holds his FINRA Securities registrations through LPL Financial.

Andrew and his wife, Hilary, reside in Dresher, PA. Andrew continues to nurture his artistic side by playing the drums and enjoying a wide range of music. He also enjoys participating in and watching sports, particularly golf and racquetball.

Robert V. Aceto
LPL Registered Representative

With over 15 years of experience Bob has provided his clients with the support they need to identify their goals and develop sound plans for their financial future. After graduating from Rider University in 94’ Bob developed a passion for the financial industry. For the past 15 years he has taken his knowledge and portfolio design directly to his clients. In addition to his personal investment research Bob works closely with the other advisors and investment analysts within Wharton Advisory Group.

Through his years of dedication to his craft Bob understands that financial priorities differ from person-to-person and change year-to-year. This is why Bob stresses the need to tailor portfolios to have the flexibility to evolve with clients as their needs change. These changes are a key concept to the comprehensive approach for financial planning that Wharton undertakes.

In addition to portfolio objectives Bob’s practice places an equal weighting on getting to know a client personally in order to help them pursue their goals, address their worries and work toward their dreams. This type of financial planning has a deep support system upheld by LPL Financial. Bob lives in Glen Mills, PA with his wife Daniela and their 2 year old daughter. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and staying fit.

Louis G. Papa
LPL Registered Representative

     Lou is a Registered Principal of Wharton Advisory Group and has worked in the financial services field since 1996. He began his career in wealth management after from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Marketing. In 2002, he committed his experience and skills toward working with high net worth clients as a Private Client Consultant with Charles Schwab & Company. Lou served in this role until 2010 when he became the Managing Director of Penn Liberty Wealth Advisors. As Managing Director Lou helped grow the bank’s Wealth Advisory Division from $20 million in assets under management to in excess of $230 million in 4 years. Lou is committed to helping clients succeed in achieving their goals across a variety of financial planning and wealth management needs. With 19 years of experience working with Business Owners, Executives and High Net Worth Families, Entrepreneurs, and Doctors, Lou brings particular expertise in Investment Management, Portfolio Design, Estate Planning, Retirement Income and Third Party Asset Manager selection.

     Lou is extremely well versed across all areas of financial markets and has brought this expertise to his clients throughout his career which has spanned through both recessions in the 2000’s. 

     Lou enjoys spending time with his wife Melanie and their two children, Christian and Alessandra, as well as volunteering with his church and various animal shelters and rescue homes.



Phillip DeLeon
Investment Specialist, Wharton Advisory Group

Phil joined Wharton Advisory Group in 1999 as an investment analyst. He brings more than 15 years experience in investment analysis and research. He is responsible for reviewing market trends and conducting portfolio evaluations. He performs an integral role in the development of portfolio allocations tailored to each client’s needs and risk tolerance.

Prior to joining Wharton Advisory Group, Phil spent three years at Manchester Advisory Group and over twenty years at two fortune 500 companies. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

Phil lives in Whitemarsh Township, PA with his wife Marilyn. They often travel to visit their five children and six grandchildren in five different states. Phil is a sports and exercise enthusiast and enjoys vacations with his wife, family and friends.

Meghan Gardler


Meghan is a graduate of The University of Connecticut where she won two NCAA National Championships in basketball and was awarded as an Academic All-American. After college, she took her talents to Europe where she played professionally in Sweden and in Luxembourg. Upon retiring from basketball in 2014, she looked to parlay her on-court success and bring the same work ethic to the financial services industry.

 Meghan began her financial career by working for the largest independent broker/dealer in the country, LPL Financial*. Since moving back to the Philadelphia area and joining Wharton Advisory Group, she has focused her practice on providing administrative support for advisors helping professional athletes with trustworthy advice. Her main emphasis is providing Wharton's clients with the support that they need in order to help advisors address their financial objectives and long term goals.

 Meghan resides in downtown Philadelphia on Rittenhouse Square. She is a sports enthusiast and enjoys traveling, writing, and spending time with her family.


Cathy McNamara
Administrative Assistant

Cathy joined Wharton Advisory Group over five years ago, supporting co-founder, Mark Comyns. She assists in all aspects of client support, financial analysis and office procedures. Cathy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and went on to receive her MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining Wharton, Cathy managed and supported key aspects of the finance department for a major healthcare company in Philadelphia.

Cathy volunteers at FLITE Foundation for Learning in Tredyffrin/Easttown. FLITE is a non-profit organization that raises funds to pay for programs for economically disadvantaged children in her local school district. She leads the Foundation Working Group which seeks grant money to support the foundation’s programs. She is also an active member of its Advisory Board and Development Committee.

Cathy’s family lived abroad in Singapore for several years and traveled throughout Asia. That experience combined with her strong conviction for philanthropy led her to volunteer at Caring For Cambodia (CFC), an international non-profit organization. CFC provides educational support for school children in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Her responsibilities at CFC include assisting donors to identify, request and receive corporate matching funds. Cathy lives in Berwyn, PA with her husband and two children.
